Prerequisites:CMGT 221

Course Description:Practices in land planning and sub-division design;

sub-surface utility systems; environmental considerations.

Course Objective:To develop an understanding of the process of site planning and to get practical experience with step-by-step site planning.

Week 4Zoning, landslide and factors affecting buildings locations and orientations - Chapters, 2, 8, and 9.

Week 5The techniques of user analysis and the program preparation – Chapter 3 and 4.

Week 6Access and landscape – Chapter 7 and 6.

Choose a site and do a complete site analysis.

Submit a report and plans to show understanding of the site planning process.

The following items must be included in the report and the plans.

- Soils- Flood Plain

- Drainage- Landslide

- Utilities- Cost

- Water Supply and Waste Disposal- Market Study

- Financing

Project topics are due Week 8.

The project due date is Week 12. Presentations will be on Weeks 13-16
