Lakeview High School’s final exam format for grade 8 places a greater educational focus on the end of the school year. Exams will be 90 minutes in length thus providing a more authentic measure of student performance.
Thursday, June 5th Period 1 7:37 a.m. – 8:20 a.m.
Period 2 8:25 a.m. – 8:55 a.m.
Period 3 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Period 6 Exam 9:35 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.
Period 5 Regular Time 11:05 a.m. – 12:50 p.m.
Period 7 Exam 12:55 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
There is not a 4th period this day.
Students have early dismissal with a signed permission form for 7th period study hall.
Friday, June 6th Period 1 Exam 7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Period 3 Exam 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Period 4 Class 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon (split lunch)
Note: 8th graders are not permitted to participate in open lunch.
Period 5 Exam 12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m.
Buses are running as normal at 2:30 P.M.
Students have late arrival and early dismissal with a signed permission form.
Moday, June 9th Period 2 Exam 7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Period 4 Exam 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Early Release at 11:00 a.m. for all students
Buses are running at 11:00 A.M.
Ø Students are to report to school no more than 5 minutes prior to a scheduled exam and will not be permitted to roam the halls, call upon teachers, enter or leave the building during exams.
Ø The cafeteria will be open for fifteen-minute breaks between exams for students to “power up” on nourishment.
Ø The cafeteria will be open as usual. In addition, Room 115 Study Hall will be open and monitored and the varsity gym will have supervised activities.
Ø For those students with transportation problems: The regular bus schedule for all days will be in effect and a supervised study hall will be open all day for those not having a scheduled exam.
