DIRECTORS’ MEETING
May 14, 2011
8:00 A.M. – GRAYLING TOWNSHIP HALL
Directors in attendance: Joe Porter, Chuck Spencer, Charlotte Bloomquist, Doug Dodge, Sandra Michalik and Harry Wojcik. RJ Hannan present at about 8:20 am.
Director not in attendance: Marshall Roe & Morrie Stevens.
Meeting called to Order at about 8:10AM by Joe Porter
APPOINT SECRETARY: Bloomquist volunteered to take the meeting minutes.
MINUTES: On motion made by Spencer, seconded by Michalik to approve the Directors Meeting Minutes from October 9, 2010; all in favor; MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIALS: Financial statements as of May 11, 2011, were presented & discussed by Bloomquist. Motion by Spencer, seconded by Michalik to approve financial statements as presented; all in favor; MOTION CARRIED.
Motion by Bloomquist, seconded by Dodge to approve following invoices for payment: Goodale’s: $31.20; Grayling Township, hall rental, $10.00; Northern Litho, membership cards, $15.00; Xpress copy (for this meeting) $31.04; Michigan Lake & Streams membership, $250.00; Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, summer marine patrol, $1,500.00; Armed Forces Day Dinner: Michigan Opera Theatre, $2,800.00 (we will receive $1,120. back from a grant), Dharma Music (piano), $150.00, Avalanche ads: $159.80 & Northern Litho, $180.90; Fishing Derby: Northern Litho, $53.00; all in favor; MOTION CARRIED.
2009 AUDIT COMMITTEE: Two members needed to perform yearly audit; Wojcik & Dodge will get this completed before next meeting; they will present findings at next meeting.
MEMBERSHIP NOMINATION CHAIR: Board members terms to expire: Bloomquist, Porter & Roe. Bloomquist & Porter have indicated they will run again; not sure about Roe. Chuck Spencer has volunteered to be the Chair of this Committee.
TIMBER HARVEST LETTER: See membership meeting minutes.
WATER TESTING: Will be monitored by Porter and Michalik (Herron resigned). See membership meeting minutes.
MEMBERSHIP CHAIRPERSON: Hannan gave update on Armed Forces Day Dinner & Fishing Derby.
MEETING DATE: Saturday: July 16, 2011.
