Minutes for Vancouver WGM – Approved w/correction of spelling of Lee Collier to “Coller”. Austin will post minutes.

V.Shutting Down the Specimen Process Step Project (Austin)

Austin spoke with Rick Smithies – UK will not be using the Specimen Process Step. Austin suggested that lab shut down the project, but maintain the material.

Motion to shut down SpecimenProcessStep project by Ken – 2nd Rob. For: 5; Opposed: 0; Abstain: 0.

VI.Future of Lab and OO Work Groups

This was extensively discussed at WGM. There is an agreement to hold joint calls with OO and Lab. This will help both groups meet quorum. Austin mentioned as a result, we could reduce the Lab Work Group calls down to once a month. There is still some work that needs to be completed for the Lab Work Group (see below). Austin has discussed with OO opening up more co-chair positions. There was discussion regarding whether co-chairs should remain as co-chairs and whether this is an automatic process. This will be discussed further on a call with OO at one of the joint meetings. Austin thought the merging conversation might be a question for the TSC. If it is not put to the TSC, then we could follow the dissolution process and call this a merger.

VII.Conference Call Schedule

Monthly call for Lab only business and joint call with OO weekly on Thursday’s at 1 pm starting October 2nd.

We will be working on these efforts on future calls starting the 3rd Monday of the month for October, November and December. These calls will only take place if there is Lab only business that needs to be discussed. Some of the Lab work will be covered during the joint calls w/OO.
