MAKE SURE YOU FULLY KNOW

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN BEING AN OFFICER!

Both groups are expected to be more disciplined than a regular team member. Disciplinary actions are double for officers. Remember, officers need to be an example at all times.

Chatos will always be an officer’s first priority. It will be very difficult for an officer to hold a job after Chato hours. Not that you couldn’t do it. You just need to realize that your job will not come first as a Chato Officer. This also pertains to the school musical or any other elective, club, or organization you are planning to be involved in. Failure to meet this requirement will result in demerits or possible demotion.

Both groups are required to participate fully throughout the entire year. If you are not dedicated to the Chatos in helping the team grow, please reconsider auditioning. Your dedication and heart is felt throughout the whole team.

Being an officer involves a lot of extra hours, hard work, expense, dedication, behind the scenes jobs with little recognition. It is a thankless job at times, and a very hard role to play when being in a leadership position; however, it is also - a lot of fun, individual growth, character building, strength and endurance accomplishments, lifelong skills are gained, as well as being extremely rewarding!

ALL DANCE OFFICERS AND EXECUTIVES WILL MEET WEEKLY BEFORE/AFTER TEAM REHEARSAL FOR: COMMUNICATIONS, DEMERIT WORK OFF, PREPARATIONS FOR FOOTBALL/COMPETITION SEASON, SPRING SHOW, OFFICER DANCES, CHOREOGRAPHY, ETC…. EXECUTIVES WILL USE THIS TIME TO ORGANIZE AND PREPARE FOR ANY UPCOMING EVENTS. THIS IS MANDATORY. IN ADDITION, BOTH GROUPS WILL BE THE LAST TO LEAVE AFTER EVERY EVENT - YOU MUST BE DISMISSED BY THE DIRECTOR(S).
