United States Peace Corps (July 1985-November 1988)

Systems Accountant: Responsible for the analysis, design, documentation and implementation of accounting systems in the City Treasurer’s Department. Other responsibilities included the preparation of revenue and capital budgets and the development of a staff training program.

From September-December 1987 assumed the duties of City Treasurer.

Responsibilities included the overall supervision of the City Treasurer’s Department and Commercial section of the city council and authorizing all payments, preparing reports for and attending council committee meetings.

From January-April 1987 assumed the duties of Commercial Manager. Responsibilities included overall supervision of the city council’s revenue-earning activities.
