We have many references. We would love to book with you !!!

The Kudzidza Foundation is a non- profit organization, which sends supplies and assistance to families in Africa and has a cultural exchange.

The word Kudzidza translates as "education" in the Shona language, one of many dialects in Zimbabwe. We are a broad multimedia organization featuring live music, drumming, art, carving dancing, and other programs from Africa. We offer interactive performances that include singing, drumming, storytelling and dancing lead by authentic African performers for schools, colleges, festivals and other events. We also have a "jump and prance" African Band!

Bongo, who helped organize the cultural exchange, came from Zimbabwe and he passionately shares his world with our world. Bongo began drumming and singing at an early age during traditional ceremonies and these Shona roots gleam through his music.

The culture of Africa is different and it touches our audiences deeply. What Kudzidza strives to convey is the soul of our African people and our magnificent roots.

We are a group of AUTHENTIC AFRICAN PERFORMERS and ARTISTS who want to teach about our culture. Our group performed at the Chapungu Exhibit, which opened at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Denver, Colorado and at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio. The exhibit is featuring beautiful stone sculptures from Zimbabwe, Africa. We also have a stone and wood sculptor who sells authentic African carvings and who can do custom carved work for home and community

In Africa much learning takes place through drumming, song, storytelling and dance, and survival is dependent upon these skills as well as traditional crafts, which are passed down from the elders. We are offering interactive children's drumming and song, a dance troupe performance, a master mbira player and a master children's conductor for workshops and assemblies and we even have a Zimbabwe Band. We hope to teach the people of America and the world about our lives through our eyes, fingers, feet, traditions and memories. We are also growing and learning from you so please support us and we can share worlds. We are offering authentic African Presentations, authentic African Music and authentic African Art for children, teens and adults. Please go to our website to learn a bit about us ...

Our performances are interactive with drumming, singing and sometimes if

space and participation permits, dancing! We usually always do a dance of some sort but sometimes it is simply dancing in place rather than a circle or line! Within our assemblies we always explain a bit about Africa through songs, brief explanations, stories and communication through drumming!

Prices really vary according to how you wish to do your assemblies/programs. Colleges invite us to perform for a variety of programs including orientation concerts, multicultural events and spring or fall bashes, flings and festivals. We like to discuss and negotiate pricing for each event Many times we will split our elementary assemblies into age groups, k-2 in an assembly lasting around 30 min. and another assembly for 3-5, 6-8, 9-12 each for 45 min. It would probably be good to give us a ballpark figure on what you can afford. We have done assemblies/performances from $250-$5000. We ask that schools decide what they can afford, keeping in mind we send money to Africa, we pay our performers, transportation costs, our overhead and so on. We suggest you find a place where your school fits price-wise, and let us know. We will neg. with you. We want to come to all schools!

We will have Zimbabwe CD's for sale and we have flyers for our upcoming African Trip to Zimbabwe/Zambia (authentic African guides, stay in a rural village, be like the Africans not like a tourist!)
