III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES
TYPE OF RECRUITMENT INITIATIVE(MENU SELECTION) / BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
1 / Internship Program / iHeartMedia Wichita offers an internship program for students from local colleges and universities. The internship program offers meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the interns. Interns assist with show preparation, editing logs as well as recording and editing commercial or promotional spots in the programming dept. Interns will also assist in promotions with the scheduling and execution of station remote events as well prizing tasks.In sales, interns will shadow on outside calls and internal order entry. All interns will spend time in programming, promotions, & sales. During this reporting period, our stations hosted three interns, as follows:
Summer 2014
1 intern from Kansas State University, 1 from Wichita State University, & 1 from Butler County Community College.
2 / Participate in Job Fair / April 15, 2014, iHeartMediaWichita participated in the Wichita Eagle Career Expo. Station participants includeour Operations Manager, Business Manager, Market Manager, General Sales Manager plus various programming and business office employees.
