IMPACT: This site would be a good resource for an individual, whether practitioner or student, unfamiliar with the general structure of multimedia content distribution to quickly apprise themselves of the relevant concerns in areas of standards, distribution, business models and products.

The site provides news that is international in scope and written for the more technical practitioner as opposed to an individual seeking a generalized overview.

IMPACT: This site is a tremendous resource for any practitioner who is seeking to understand the “nuts and bolts” of any P2P file sharing issue. This may be specifically helpful when someone is attempting to understand the technology underlying a P2P issue to determine various IP infringement issues.
