As required by Section 311, Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of Independent Elementary School District No. C009, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, will hold a SPECIAL MEETING on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., in the school cafetorium, Krebs Public Schools, 20 Southwest Fifth Street, Krebs, Oklahoma.

AGENDA

The following is a list of the business to be conducted by the Board of Education at the above meeting:

  1. Call to order and roll call of members.
  1. Consideration and vote on final 2016-2017 fiscal year claims represented by general fund and building fund encumbrances.
  1. Consider and act on the following items:
  1. Proposed executive session to discuss the hiring of one certified teacher for the 2017-2018 school year so that the board may return to open session and vote on the above mentioned executive session item as per Oklahoma Statute Title 25 Section 307 (B) (1) & (7).
  1. Motion to convene into executive session
  1. Acknowledge board has returned to open session.
  1. Executive session minutes compliance announcement.
  1. Consideration and vote to hire a certified teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote to accept the resignations of Tracy Matthews, certified teacher, and Nickolas White, cafeteria employee.
  1. Consideration and vote on student handbook revisions for the 2017-2018 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote on contract renewal with Wav11 for Technology Maintenance for the 2017-18 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote on contract renewal with Weiher’s Pro Services for Custodial Maintenance for the 2017-18 fiscal year.
  1. Consideration and vote on contract renewal with Oklahoma Schools Insurance Group (OSIG) for property insurance coverage for the 2017-2018 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote on OSSBA policy renewal for the 2017-2018 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote on awarding a milk bid for the 2017-2018 school year.
  1. Consideration and vote on purchase of vending machine.
  1. Consideration and vote to approve activity fund sub-accounts for expenditures and revenue for vending machines.
  1. Consideration and vote to declare the following items as surplus property and direct the superintendent to dispose of the property as deemed best for the district: old library shelving and old library circulation desk.
