Biography

Kostas obtained both his medical and dental degrees in Greece and gained his higher surgical skills at Guy’s Hospital working with Professor McGurk, a pioneer in minimally invasive salivary gland disease treatment and at the Head and neck Unit at UCH as a Fellow in Surgical oncology.

Fully registered with GMC and GDC both in the UK and Cyprus, he is a member of the BAOMS and a fellow of the ICMFS and the European Board of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery.

He is a Consultant Maxillofacial/Head and Neck surgeon at Luton and Dunstable Hospital since the beginning of May 2012 and a Core member of the Head and Neck Multidisciplary Team performing oncological and reconstructive surgery for it’s patients.

He runs clinics at the New QE2 Hospital in Welwyn Garden City, the Lister Hospital in Stevenage and the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.

He runs private clinics and has admitting rights and privileges at Spire Harpenden Hospital and The PineHill Hospital at Hitchin.

He is providing a minimally endoscopic treatment for patients with obstructive disease of the salivary glands within the Three Counties network but accepts and gets referrals from East Anglia and the rest of the UK as well as from overseas.

He has authored and published two leading papers in the Intarnational Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery regarding the endoscopically assisted treatment of stones within the submandibular and parotid glands.
