ILS Report10/7/15

Ecommerce

Envisionware has confirmed a bug affecting some ecommerce payments. The bug, caused by a security update, causes some users to get an error message when making a payment. Libraries have reported duplicate payments on the patron records because the patrons used the back button and tried the payment again when they ran into the error message. This caused the patron to be double billed.

For patrons affected by the bug, the payment appears in Koha but the payment on the credit card does not proceed past “pending”. SCLS staff have gone through the list of payments, matched them to the Envisionware report and will be completing the payments. In the case of patrons who have made multiple payment attempts, only one of the payments will be completed and the duplicate payment in Koha will be reversed. A note will be added to the patron’s record to explain what happened.
