Why are we looking for knowledge?
Think about how you would answer these questions before coming. Bill will give a 30 minute presentation on current theories, practices and methodologies followed by a round table discussion. This is an opportunity to share current practices and ideas and push the limits on what we know and how we know it.

Bill Proudfit, BA, MSc-KM

Bill has been based in Asia since 1988. He worked in Beijing 1988-1989 and came to Hong Kong in June 1989. He has been director for Records & Information Management at the Philip Morris Asia HQ in Hong Kong and the Philip Morris International HQ in Switzerland. He was Document Control Manager for the Airport Authority during the construction of Chep Lap Kok. He is an expert in creating practical knowledge management processes around records, documents, file-shares, document management systems and web-sites.
Bill completed the MSc program at HK Polytechnic University in Knowledge Management in 2009. He was the programme’s ‘Outstanding Student of the Year’ in 2009. Currently, he offers consulting services in knowledge & records management. He focuses on knowledge sharing techniques and taxonomy and finding aid development. He is a certified Cognitive Edge practitioner using group facilitation for knowledge sharing and elicitation.
