  1. WHITE THREAD – GOD IS HOLY

THEME: God is the holy, just and gracious creator of all things.

  • He is holy.
  • Isaiah 43:15: I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
  • He is just.
  • Proverbs 17:15: He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.
  • He is gracious.
  • Titus 2:11: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.
  1. BLACK THREAD – MAN IS SINFUL

THEME: We are each created by God, but we are all corrupted by sin.

  • We have rebelled against God.
  • Romans 3:12: All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.
  • We are separated from God.
  • Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
  • We are dead without God.
  • Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  1. READ THREAD – CHRIST IS ENOUGH

THEME: Jesus alone is able to remove our sin and restore us to God.

  • He lived the life we could not live.
  • I John 3:5: You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
  • He died the death we deserve to die.
  • I Peter 2:24: He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
  • He conquered the enemy we cannot conquer.
  • Revelation 1:18: I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
  1. GREEN THREAD – FAITH IS NECESSARY

THEME: We can be restored to God only through faith in Jesus.

  • We turn from our sin and ourselves.
  • Mark 1:15: The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
  • We trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
  • Romans 10:9: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  1. YELLOW THREAD – ETERNITY IS URGENT

THEME: Our eternal destiny hinges on our response to Jesus.

  • Hell is a dreadful reality for those who turn from Jesus.
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9: They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might
  • Heaven is a glorious reality for those who trust in Jesus.
  • Philippians 3:20: But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ
  • Will you turn from Jesus or will you trust in Jesus?
  • John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
