Knit & Purl Cable Scarf

Size: 6” x 65”

Material: Any worsted weight yarn (#4)

Machine: Any bulky machine with ribber

Tools Used: Double eye needle, 1 large ribber weight, Latch tool, Small cast-on comb, Triangle Weight holder

Gauge: 4 sts x 6 rows = 1 inch (gauge not all that important)

With Carriage on the Right…..Cast on 28 needles.

Knit 1 row to the Left. COL. Set RC to RC001.

All Ribber stitches to the Main Bed. Knit across.

Turn the Tension Dial up to 8 or 9.

Knit 1 row slowly to the Left.

Do a “Loop thru a Loop” (latch tool) bind off.

Weave in loose yarn ends. Steam lightly.

NOTES:

Cast on and bind off your preferred way.

Odd numbered rows will always start with the COL. Even numbered rows will always start with the COR.

Double eye needle is used to transfer stitches back and forth between the two beds.

One usually comes with the ribber, but they can be purchased individually on-line.
