Membership
October is the Knights of Columbus Membership Drive Month. Our Council is having an Open House in the Church Social Room on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at 5:30 PM. The Daughters of Isabella will also be present to recruit the women of our parish.
If you know any men or women in the parish who are not Knights or Daughters please invite them to the Open House. Bring them with you or just show up to help out. For more details contact Wayne Zetzman - 541-9648 or Steve Lemmons - 492-2355.

Football Raffle
A big Thank You to Mike Crosthwait. As of Sept. 9th we sold 1178 tickets. Well over 50 Knights helped sell all these tickets. 20 Knights sold over 20 tickets each. Your efforts have resulted in over $20,000.00 in profits from the sale. Many thanks to all involved, especially our speakers in Church after each of the Masses. Check the web site www.htknights.org for weekly results.
Degree Initations
There will be a 1st Degree Initiation before the meeting Tuesday October 14th at 6:00 PM. in the Church Social Room. On Wednesday, October 29th at 6:30 PM we will host a 2nd and 3rd Degree Initiation in the Fr. Quigley Faith Formation Center.
Support for our Seminarians
At our September meeting the Council recommended and voted to give 2 seminarians, Scott Wallisch and Mike Peterson, $500.00 each in support of their efforts. Both are from Holy Trinity Parish and Mike Peterson is a fellow Holy Trinity Knight.
Kansas State Knights of Columbus Religious Education Fund
The Religious Education Fund raffle tickets are available now for this year’s drawing for $25,000.00 1st prize. Tickets are $100.00 each and can be shared with other people reduce the cost. If you would like to participate in this worthwhile fundraiser contact Brian Weaver at 913-307-0693 or ..
Membership Dues
We have a number of Knights who have not yet paid this year’s membership dues. Please send your dues as soon as possible to our Financial Secretary, John Cyphert .
Tootsie Roll Drive
The Tootsie Roll Drive generates money to help people with intellectual disabilities. The Knights will be handing out Tootsie Rolls© after all Masses October 11th & 12th. Knights of Columbus Annual Coat Drive
The Knights of Columbus annual coat drive was held September 20th and 21st. This year we collected over 350 coats which went to Catholic Charities to benefit the needy. We collected about 100 more coats than last year. Thanks to brother John Johnson for leading the effort and the other Knights that helped.
John Johnson added new yard signs this year and also coordinated with Holy Trinity School for the kids to bring in coats on Friday, September 19th. Good work and great ideas, John.
