Council News:

Reminder:The KC officers meeting will be on Monday, March31 at 7:00 PM.

Reminder:Our regular council meetingwill be on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 PM. Ronnie Schielack and John Kucera will be cooking the meal.

Reminder:The council will not be having a chicken BBQ in April.

Reminder:Our Lenten Fish Fry’s will continue during March 28, April 4 and 11 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. We will be selling fish plates to go at $8:00 a plate. Please try to volunteer your help. Meal preparations begin around 2:00 PM in our new kitchen facility. This event funds the KC Scholarship Program. We will not have a fish fry on Good Friday.

Reminder:Thank you to Steve Kocurek and volunteers for preparing the meal for the Journey class during the past school year.The next meal to be prepared will be Wednesday, April 9. This will be the last meal we will prepare for this school year. Steve Kocurek is chairing the meal preparations and any help will be greatly appreciated. The meal needs to be ready by 5:30 pm in the PAC. Contact Steve for details at 979-575-8333.

The date for the Founders Day Banquet will be decided at the April 3 council meeting.

Grand Knight Josiah Barrow would like to thank all brother knights and their families for helping with the KC Festival held on Sunday, March 2. Once again, the festival was a great success due to your efforts.

Congratulations to Alan Garbs, Jeffrey Dudensing and Stephen Wooten for attaining their Second and Third Degrees on Sunday, February 16 in LaGrange, Texas.

A FirstDegree initiation is tentatively scheduled for our May 1 council meeting. Please contact GK Josiah Barrow if you have any new prospective KC members. We have until June 30 to reach our goal for new members.

The KC Council 6366 will be offering scholarships to graduating seniors who are members of St. Mary’s or Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Applications are available at the back of the church or you may go to the CISD web page or visit the Caldwell High School counselor. Applications will be due April 25, 2014. The Fourth Degree Assembly is sponsoring a Turkey Shoot at Josiah Barrow place in the Birch community on Sunday, April 6. Any one is welcome to participate.
