·  Little slower, smaller number of participants than past years
·  $620 gross needed to pay bills for cleanup

·  Motion by Meegan, second by Tyler to provide $25 for expenses for Street Fair—Aye vote unanamous / Roll out street fair

·  Petty Crime common around the city,
·  Bike theft up, contact bike index.org to register bike
·  Can pick up packages now instead of having them delivered
·  Police have staffing crisis—this is a nation-wide issue
·  City will be providing more camping areas for the homeless / Call police nonemergency numbers—helps city keep track of crime / Rob Foster

·  Next legislative year agenda: transportation, gas tax, fix bridges, need a lot of money to fix things, Oregon needs additional revenue sources, Columbia River crossing back on table
·  This year agenda: affordable housing, air quality, new air monitors in North Portland, diesel emissions hot issue, questions raised about two refining companies in North Portland, Oregon to adopt California and Washington emission standards, KNA starting quiet zone process again to stop RR whistles, several crossings need signals upgraded, KNA to start process again, no money allocated to fix quiet zones,
·  Air quality: How to collect data, complaint driven, nuisance order driven, no proactive testing, KNA neighbors have been using Lead Safe America, leaded gas used at PIR, older drag racing cars use the leaded gas, Tina Kotek says we need more noise enforcement, noise monitor on Tindle Street, keep complaining and monitoring issues related to pollution, upcoming legislation on diesel and wood burning stoves, need to organize environmental groups to work together, contact complaint line on air quality,
·  Livability: Quality of living and lack of space a Kenton issue, Issue of house demolition and asbestos. Raising the minimum wage will help the entire state
·  Housing issues coming up: tenant protection, stop landlords against eviction, resources for affordable housing, land use planning, emergency housing funding, will take 3-5 years to overcome housing issues, how to get people into homes, skinny houses are an issue, 30% of homes in Portland are cash transaction, lacking inventory in whole state. / Set meeting for Quiet Zone

·  Soil/air quality update: Lead hot spot in Kenton from the Oregonian misleading when compared to our data points. Zack will continue to collect data points.
·  June 8th meeting will vote on new officers: Derek for secretary, Tyler for Chair, Ryan treasurer, Angela Vice Chair
·  Open Community Meeting at Desjecta 7 pm
·  Motion by Jackson second by Derek to provide $150 for food for June Open House meeting. Passed with unanimous Aye vote. / Zack Putnam will continue to collect data
New Officers will take effect at the next KNA meeting.

8:26 / Ryan Pittel motioned to Approve Minutes for February 2016 & March 2016 meetings with the addendum of the attendance list. Motion seconded by Tyler. Rupert abstained everyone else voted aye.
The April meeting did not have official minutes, just notes, because of the lack of Board Members attending. There was not a quorum. / Approval of Minutes

·  Need tent for street fair. Alex purchased new tent KNA should use this tent discussion
·  Cost of newsletter discussion because KNA has moved to Tray Printer as new printer
·  Paint Paul marketing is now being reimbursed by Kenton Paint Paul committee
·  Community Garden Trust fund $150 returned / Treasurer Actions
