Scholarship Information
Education scholarships provided by the Klickitat Valley Hospital Memorial Foundation are funded by donations to assist persons with an interest in health careers to obtain the education necessary for health related occupations. There are two Health Fair Committee health education scholarships of $500 each per year and additional scholarships may be available depending on donations.
Eligibility
Recipients are selected based on their interest in health care occupations and their estimated probability of completing their educational goals through an accredited institution. Recipients must be graduating seniors from a public or private school in Goldendale, Klickitat, or Wishram.
Distribution
The scholarship is for cost reimbursement for direct educational costs not paid by other sources. Recipients will receive the funding within approximately 30 days of submission of a receipt for direct educational costs and evidence of completion of at least one quarter or semester of accredited classes in a health field related curriculum with at least an average or passing grade.
Application Process
Responses to the questions should be in a word processing format using at least a 12 pitch font with at least 1 inch margins and be limited to 3 pages. Transcripts and letters of recommendation do not count for the maximum page limit.
Applications are processed on an annual basis and must be received by May 1st.
Selection will be completed by the end of May. Notification will be provided to the school by 6/1 and the school will notify recipients according to their usual practice.
The review and selection process may involve clarification of information with the applicant and/or interviews with applicants.

- Describe your education plans including schools you may attend, anticipated courses or major courses of study, certificates or degrees you plan to complete, and your education finance plan.
- Describe any other information that you think may be of interest for the selection committee.
- Obtain two letters of recommendation and include them with your application.
