KIRK & RAY HAYNES MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

DATES: Saturday & Sunday, August 5th & 6TH

We now have a pleasant problem for our tournament. We have far more people that want to play, than we have available openings for players. We have looked at possibilities for ways to expand the field, but have not come up with any way that we feel would allow the tournament to continue with its current flavor. We feel a loyalty to the course that has hosted us all these years and to those people who have played previously, many which have played all 25 years. For this reason we are making every effort to get entries to long time participants first, and to others slightly later.

Your entries may be mailed to us or hand delivered to our house. We will accept the first 180 paid entries that we receive!

After entering, if you have last minute problems with playing, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can find an appropriate replacement. We will refund your entry fee!

The format for the tournament will be about the same as last year (any questions call us). Teams will be drawn on Wednesday, Aug. 2nd at 7:00 PM at Lakeland Hills. Join us for a fun-filled evening of camaraderie. You may also learn who is on your team in the Pro Shop, or from owners, Rich or Kenny Karasek, or from their staff, by calling Lakeland Hills at 764-5292. (I might add that Rich and Kenny and their staff do a great job for us).

We again need sponsors to sponsor holes for the Kirk & Ray Haynes Scholarship Fund. Please let us know if you or anyone you know would like to sponsor a hole. So far, about 58 students have received awards. Because of the tremendous support of our sponsors and you, the participants, we have increased the scholarship money to $1500 ($750 their junior and senior year) and one $1000 scholarship.

Also, if you would like to make an extra donation for the scholarship fund or help in getting door prizes for Saturday afternoon, please let us know. We appreciate any and all donations.

Door prizes will be drawn on Saturday, immediately following play. Plan on staying for the get together and a chance to visit with old and new friends.

***ENTRY FEE is $80 - this will include golf for both days, prizes and carts. Including the cart fees will expedite the check-in process as there won’t be two lines to stand in.

All players should be at the course at 8 AM on Saturday, August 5th. At that time you will: (1) meet your teammates; (2) have coffee and rolls; (3) get your carts; and (4) have a shotgun start at 8:30 SHARP! Please be prompt, so the whole field doesn't have to wait. Thank you. (Also, the same procedure at 8 AM on Sunday.)
