Item 7 Site allocations
Discussions re site no HG2-130 High street no 25-29
suitable for mixed development i.e. shops with flats over or older persons development with public space and opening up the vista towards the church . Listed building on site also .
.
Re site HG2-129
Suitable for development as older persons development with possible use of dementure centre, access is the main problem
Re site no HG2-128
Development of this site could lead to coalescence of Kippax with Garforth, once again road access is the problem as Roach grange Lane is only a cart track and could lead onto Leeds road at a bad corner
RE site no HG2-130
This site off Brigshaw lane is recommended as suitable for older peoples dwellings , we dispute this due to the steep Hill and distance to nearest bus stop. It is on the walk route to Brigshaw School also.
Re site no HG2- 124
This site is scheduled for 2314 units, all access roads will come out onto the ridge road . This development will significantly increase traffic on the A63 even with the proposed by pass to garforth which would affect traffic on Leeds Road kippax.
The site is virtually a new village with 2 schools and a community park on the site
RE Persimmon site off Baildon Ave.
an appeal has been submitted to the planning inspectorate, no further comments are allowed .
Councillor Payne is preparing the response to Leeds City Council for all these sites further site details can be found in the site allocations proposals section 3 outer South East.
