King’s College London – K.C. Wong Postdoctoral Fellowships

Applications from residents of China are invited for one-year post-doctoral fellowships at King’s College London, one of the UK’s leading universities. Four fellowships are available each year, generously supported by the K.C. Wong Education Foundation.

Successful applicants will receive a fellowship (including salary) to undertake research in one of the following parts of King’s College:

·  Dental Institute

·  Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Science

·  Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine

·  Florence Nightingale School of Nursing and Midwifery

·  Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

·  Be current residents of the People’s Republic of China (PRC)

·  Hold a PhD degree

·  Be 40 years of age or younger at the time of the application

·  Be scientists of post-doctoral level or equivalent status who are employed by a scientific or academic institution in the PRC, or who have confirmed employment with such institutions after the completion of their fellowships

·  Agree to return to work in the PRC and make a contribution to the field of their studies/research, after completion of the fellowships

·  Have a good command of spoken and written English

Application process

Interested applicants should first contact the King’s College academic with whom they wish to work, to obtain agreement to host a fellowship. Applicants should submit the following documents to by the deadline of 1st May 2015:

·  Curriculum vitae (CV)

·  One-page outline of the proposed research project

·  Letter of support from the proposed King’s College supervisor (academic), including confirmation of approval form Head of Division

·  Letter of support from the current supervisor (in China)

Successful applicants will be notified by 15th July 2015. Fellowships will start in September 2015 or as soon after as reasonably possible.
