Please go on your child’s account and add me as a coach! Let me know if you cannot do that and I will reach out to the appropriate people to correct it.
Nightly Homework: A practice worksheet dealing with the concepts covered in class that day. Nightly homework is due the next day after it is assigned. If your child is having difficulty with homework or if it is taking an excessively long time, please let me know. If your child is having difficulty, please have them jot down on the homework what they are confused about or where they seem to get stuck. This will give us a starting point for working on it in school the next day.
Pearson Envisions: From the website: “Written specifically to address the Common Core State Standards, enVisionMATH Common Core is based on critical foundational research and proven classroom results.” Students have online access, but if they need to look online for how to complete homework, please let me know.

Extra Help: Please let me know if your child is in need of extra help. Students can meet with me during C/E time in order to work on any skills that might need extra practice.
Math CE: Math CE time will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during CE. Students will have the opportunity to practice what we learned in class and work on enrichment activities. Students will also complete Khan Academy at this time.
Assessments: Students will have quizzes and tests to assess their learning. They will have ample notice of these assessments (3 or more days) and it is expected that they keep up with homework assignments to practice for these assessments. If you feel that a child needs extra assistance, please contact me to schedule a time to meet. I will also use anecdotal records and notes to keep track of student progress and note any difficulties he or she might experience. ALL assessments will require a parent signature, and then they must be returned to school.
