Objective

I would like to positively contribute my writing skills and creativity while working collaboratively on a new media project, in the writers room of a television program or webseries, or for an advertising, marketing or public relations agency.

Qualifications

I like solving problems, I love language and I have a fanatical reverence for the written word. A creative thinker and creative writer, I’ve been working on my craft for many years. I am a published journalist, playwright, and poet. I am also a produced screenwriter, a short story writer, a songwriter, and, most recently, a creator of original material for television. For over ten years I’ve managed to successfully manage a career as a freelance writer and actor. As a student of human nature, I’m naturally curious about everything. I’ve watched trends come and I’ve predicted, accurately, when they would go. It’s my job to know about everything that’s happening all the time so I devour the news every day. Collaborating creatively with others is something I thrive on and seek out.

Unique Strengths

Having worked professionally as an actor in all mediums, I’m very adept at working with performers and writing crisp, actable dialogue. I also possess an extensive knowledge of the history of American gangsterism, criminal justice and the legal process. I’m fluent in IPA symbols and applications. Although I consider drama (domestic, crime, legal) to be the genre I excel at, I also bring a sense of humor to my work (I’ve written successful material for comedians). Also, a passion for researchinghistorical facts for dramaturgical accuracy has served me well in my work.
