Dear Friend,

As you know, the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association approved an associate membership program in 2008, which is available to all Kentucky Deputies and others who work closely with the Sheriffs’ offices. This opportunity allows you to be a part of a viable, growing organization, the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association.

For less than 14 cents per day ($50/year), you can renew your membership in the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association. Your membership entitles you to the following: Honorary Membership Card, Window Decal, Bumper Sticker and a subscription to our annual publication, which is enclosed. In addition to these credentials, you will be helping not only the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association, but also a portion of your dues will directly benefit the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys & Girls Ranch, which is sponsored by the association. The KSA also provides scholarships to Kentucky youth who are continuing higher education through the Bobby Thomas Memorial Scholarship program. Bobby Thomas was a Sheriff in Hardin County and served as President of the KSA in 2000 and on the KSA Board of Directors for many years.

Your membership will help see that the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association continues to grow and enhance not only the Office of Sheriff, but deputies and other law enforcement professionals across the state, as well. The KSA supports many important causes and believes strongly in continuing education and the necessary training for all law enforcement and lobbies vigorously for legislation that will benefit the Sheriffs’ Office and you, as law enforcement professionals.

The Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys & Girls Ranch provides a summer camp for Kentucky’s youth, ages 8-11 and from low-income homes. The programs and activities offered to the children while at camp are designed to build their self-esteem, moral character and teach them to respect themselves, others and law enforcement professionals. You will receive the peace of mind knowing you are helping “build boys & girls rather than mend men & women” through your KSA membership.

We invite you to renew your membershipin the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association and continue your support for the Office of Sheriff and the organizations, programs and activities we are involved with. Thank you for your consideration and support.

Sincerely,

JERRY WAGNER

Executive Director
