Funding is available to SMES, employing less than 250 staff in the UK with a turnover of less than £50m. Priority will be given to companies who are intending to or are currently developing new products or services.

1 and 2 week internships – no employer contribution, we pay the student a bursary of £300 per week. Full and part time hours options – please contact us if you need guidance. 01782 733403 or

2 week - 10 week internships – you payroll the student or graduate £300 per week, we reimburse you half this cost at the end. Full and part time hours options – please contact us if you need guidance. The intern is classed as your employee, with full working rights as other staff that you employ, including paid holiday.

Funding is based on a 35 hour working week with student/graduate receiving £300 per week ( full time hours). Otherwise use the hourly rate of £8.60 to calculate your cost. The max funding from Keele/Santander is £1,500 for a 10 week full time internship, but Keele University will use discretion on how much funding to allocate and how many interns per year based on availability of funding.
