  • Freshman Convo- November 7th @ 3:30 Sylvestres Café—those who don’t have class will go and help out Amanda and Danni
  • Fundraisers: CARWASH! Can’t get any in September, going to schedule October dates
  • Adopt-A-Class: cost is $175 to sponsor a class to come see a show on campus; top two show choices are Urban Bush Women and The Nutcracker
  • Application due date: Friday, October 13th

  • “Speed Dating”- sample questions: Who’s your favorite teacher and why? What grade do you want to teach? What’s your favorite subject to study? What’s your favorite thing to do in Chico? Tell us something random about yourself
  • Be there Wednesday by 4pm in Modoc 118 to meet with Paula, meeting at 6pm in Modoc 217.

KDP MEMBER MEETING

MINUTES- Wednesday, September 13th @6pm in Modoc 217

Attending- officers present: Dannie, Amanda, Rachel, Laura, Shannan, Kimmy, Ashlee, Jill, Lauren; approximately 21 members in attendance!

Start Time: 6:05pm

OPENING- offered snacks to members as we waited for everyone to arrive

  • Officer Introductions- name, position, year in school
  • Introduction of projects for this year
  • Explanation of guest speakers at meetings, expectations for semester/year in regards to attending meetings and participating in projects.
  • Application’s and dues due by October 14th

VIDEO- showed slide show from last year’s initiation to show members the type of projects that we do

FUNDRAISER: Car Wash scheduled for the weekend of October 7th-8th @10am-?

  • We will go as long as we can and as long as we have enough help
  • Sign up to help at car wash!

SPEED DATING: played a short get-to-know you game by partnering up and having 3 minutes to answer “speed dating” questions

NEXT MEETING- TUESDAY 9/26 @ 5:15PM—will be another introduction meeting though, so unless people want to come to that again, WEDNESDAY, 10/11 @ 6pm—we are planning on a guest speaker at that one!
