Katie Brewer, CFP® started Your Richest Life because she believes that every professional should have access to a financial coach. She believes having a financial plan and a coach to go with it can make the difference in meeting financial goals or not. Katie helps clients alleviate their stress about money by helping them clarify their goals, identify and eliminate obstacles to those goals, and create a financialaction plan to achieve them. She believes that you don’t have to feel afraid about your money when you are in control of it!

Katie has over 10 years of experience working with clients and their finances. She has worked with financial technology pioneer LearnVest, large companies such as Thrivent Financial, as well as smaller boutique firms focused on high net worth individuals. She has expertise in balancing retirement planning with debt payoff, figure out where thathole in your budget is occurring, investing in your first or second home, maximizingyour employee benefits to create wealth, as well as other financial planning topics.

Katie has been quoted in articles in The New York Times, Forbes, Lifehacker, and Real Simple and she regularly blogs about financial planning topics. She often speaks to groups about financial education. She is no stranger to hard work as she pursuedboth her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification and her MBA while working full time. In order to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Katie had to complete six educational courses, have at least three years of financial planning experience, pass an examination with an average pass rate of 60-65%, and adhere to strict ethics requirements. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Texas A&M University, her MBA from Texas Tech University, and she completed her Personal Financial Planning coursework at Southern Methodist University.

Katie lives in Rowlett, but she’s originally from Austin and gets back there whenever she can. She met her husband at the Mexican food joint where they both worked while in college and it was love over guacamole. They have a four-year old daughter who’s a play-doh artist. When she’s not coaching her financial clients or spending time with her little family, Katie likes to sing soprano in a philanthropic choir, scoot around town on her Genuine Buddy scooter, and get outdoors for a hike or a concert whenever she can.
