a)  J. Taylor reported that purchase orders for Perkins dollars are almost complete. There is approximately $5,000 left for reallocating capital requests.

b)  Briefly discussed phone call procedures when the college closes for inclement weather.

c)  Heard that Howard Carpenter, Debbie Dawson, Rick Garthe, Ray Hendriksma and Mike Tyson met with folks from WMU on Friday to review the transfer requirements for three of their engineering programs. With only a few outstanding questions, WMU will accept our Engineering Lab Technician AAS degree with credit transferring into WMU's Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering Tech., and Engineering Graphics and Design programs. The intent is to have the transfer program in place for fall '07. A meeting that includes counselors from both institutions will be scheduled in the next few weeks. The consensus from WMU is that students having their AAS degree are better positioned for internships and part time employment while completing their BS degree. Transferability of additional AAS degree programs is also under investigation.

d)  D. Dawson reported that we have an engine in the lab that runs on bio-diesel fuel manufactured by our students and extended an invitation to stop by for a demonstration.

e)  G. Fredericks mentioned that the Virtual Valley consultant will be on campus Friday, February 9 to meet with the advisory committee.
