Bubble Soccer Throwdown
Why not challenge this new and exciting sport with one of our Portuguese-speaking native foreign relations officers? Children can come together and play from various countries and have fun together and engage in cultural exchange while bobbing around the footsal court in large inflatable bubbles.
The fun takes place on August 28th (Monday) at the Copin Footsal Club (Kakamigahara city, Kakami Nishi Machi 4) from 10:00 AM~12:00 Noon. Participants can be elementary students of 4th-6th grade, with a chest height of 130 cm or higher.
Participants may sign up until August 14th, with a maximum of 30 participants. Please provide your address, contact information, name (including furigana if possible), school grade, and height. There is a 1,000 yen fee to participate, per person.

Children’s Health Services For September:
Times for children health checks are from 13:00~13:30.
Please use the designated location for the area you live in. The areas are:
Sogo Fukushi Kaikan: For those living in the Naka, Kawashima, Sohara, and Inaba (Elementary School) areas.
The Asahi Kodomokan area has been relocated to the Higashi Hoken Soudan Center. This is for those living in the Unuma area.

Monkey Park Summer Discount to Admission for Kakamigahara Residents
From July 22nd~August 31st , Monkey Park will reduce the general admission fee to 900 yen for adults (middle school and up), and children (ages 2 and up to 6th grade) 500 yen Regular prices are 1,100 for adults, 600 for children. Proof of City Residence must be shown at the gate (City ID, etc), and each ID shown is good for discounting up to 5 accompanying persons. This discount is for general admissions and rides, waterpark, and zoo area still carries additional charges.

International Cooking Class (Korean)
The next international cooking class will feature Korea! Please join us for some spicy and sweet dishes from Korea. Join us on September 1st, Friday from 10:00 AM~ 1:00 PM in the cooking room on the 4th floor of the Sangyo Bunka Center.
Please register soon, as there is only space for 24 persons. The cost is 1500yen (1000 for KIA members). The Registration cut-off is August 18th.

Japanese Line Summer Festival
August 10th (Thursday) will be the day of the fireworks in Inuyama on the Kiso River, from 7:30 PM~8:20PM. Please do not cause traffic jams, use public transportation, and be sure not to litter. Please refrain from stopping along the bridges and roads to watch from your car.

Kani Summer Festival
Kani City will be holding its annual summer festival and evening fireworks display August 12th and 13th (Saturday and Sunday). Then city has three requests for visitors during this weekend:
1. Please use public transportation to reduce problems from parking and traffic jams.
2. Entrance into the zoned areas for the fireworks and pyrotechnics staging areas is prohibited. The City is not liable for any injuries that might result.
3. The Satsuki and Komamori bridges will be reserved for walking traffic only so please do NOT stop to watch fireworks from these bridges.
