Perform 24 hour on-call service to a rural hospital where I am the sole provider on the premises with physician phone call for support. Perform histories, physical examinations, order tests, medications, interpret diagnostic labs and imaging studies, develop treatment plans, suture lacerations, perform minor procedures, write prescriptions, and advise nursing staff. Performed duties as an orthopedic physician assistant. First assisted in orthopedic surgical cases including total hip replacements, total knee replacements, total ankle replacements, total shoulder replacements, total reverse shoulder replacements, ORIFs of multiple bony structures throughout the body, arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, and wrist, carpal tunnel releases, cubital tunnel transpositions, and many other general orthopedic cases. Performed all levels of surgical suturing, splint application, soft dressing application, and joint stabilization.
