ABOUT US
Tamil Nadu Educational and Medical Trust (TEAM Trust) is a Jain Minority Trust formed for Promoting Arts, Science, Technical and Medical Education in the year 1972. It is established with a primary objective of providing higher education to deserving Jain students. However, others are also admitted without reference to religion, caste or creed, their rights of conscience being respected.
The Tamil Nadu Educational and Medical Trust (TEAM Trust) has the following Educational Institutions:

Dhanraj Baid Jain College came into being on 30th June 1972, was sponsored by TEAM Trust to promote high standard of Commerce Oriented Education. The college has a team of dedicated men on its management which has always been responsive to the growing needs of the student community in a fast changing world and has been introducing new job oriented courses and subjects.
Situated on a vast campus within a mile from the seashore in Jyothi Nagar, Oggiam Thoraipakkam on the Old Mahabalipuram Road, now famous I.T. Highway, the place is surrounded by industrial houses and close to the Instronic Campus leaders in Information Technology and is near to Tidel Park.

The yardstick of any educational institutions is the success of its alumni. The College has well knit Alumni Association, which is very much active. They are our ambassadors to the corporate world. They continue to bring laurels to the college. The Alumni Association of D.B. Jain College has towering personalities such as I.P.S. Officers, State and Central Govt. Officers, Bank Officers, Cine Actors and Directors, Educationists, Industrialists, Editors of leading Magazines, MLA’s, Panchayat Chairman and Councilors.
The Association makes all efforts to improve the development of the college. It is gratifying to note that the present Secretary & Correspondent of the College Shri. Harish L Metha is also a very active member of the Alumni Association. Shri. Harish L Metha, the illustrious son of Late Dr.C.L.Metha, who is well known in the field of Education and Philanthropic activity, was born on 3-2-1958. After graduating himself in Commerce from the University of Madras through our College, he has been zealously pursuing the noble ideals set for him.
To prove that he is the worthy son of a great Educationist and philanthropist. Ailing from a noble family, he has been actively participating in the field of Education, Social Service, Medicine, etc.,

DEPARTMENT OF TRAINING & PLACEMENT
The Department of Training and Placement of the College was started with the aim of providing opportunities for placement to the students studying in the college. In addition, the Dept. aims to sharpen the skills of the students in the various aspects related to their overall development in order to cater to the needs and the expectations of the modern competitive world.
In this context, the Department of Training and Placement also takes it upon itself to organize various seminars and workshops conducted by professionals to further groom the students. Also it arranges for Soft Skill Enhancement Programmes, Industrial Visits, English Communication Training, Mock interviews, solving Aptitude test questions, Group Discussions, etc.
The Placement Department maintains a strong data base of major recruiters, and builds a cordial relationship with them. The Placement Department has regular interaction with the industries and gathers up-to-date information regarding the current trends prevailing in the industry and provides timely information to the students, regarding the expectations of the industry and their recruitment Procedures.

PLACEMENT PROCESS
- Invitations are sent to companies/organizations with relevant information and Job Announcement Form (JAF)
- Company/organization fills the JAF and sends it to Placement Office, along with possible dates for Pre-Placement Talk (PPT)
- The company can visit the campus for a Pre-Placement Talk either before the selection processes or can combine during the time of recruitment.
- On receiving information file, the placement office announces the requirements of the company, asking interested students to submit resumes, which are then handed over to the company.
- The company is required to shortlist candidates from the application pool and eligibility data file sent and send the same with short listed candidates to the Placement Office at the earliest
- A mutual convenient date is finalized for the selection process/ recruitment drive.
- The company is required to furnish the final list of students preferably on the same day, or as soon as possible, after completion of the selection process.
- The offer letters need to be sent to the Placement Office for handing over to the students. Offer acceptances (from the students) received, will be sent to the company by the Placement Office.
