Player:Gavin Kyle Green

Q:Playing well this year. You have won on the Asian tour. Does that give you some kind of confidence for you to come out and shoot a good score here?

Gavin Green:Last week was frustrating. This week I just went out there and tried to stick to my game plan. And then it was solid. Made some really good approach shots and then made some putts. Next thing you know you’re a couple under. Unfortunately I missed a couple of shots or two. Give and take. It was a solid run overall.

Q: You remember the class of 2011, played with Xander in college. Do you think you belong out here because of that? Are you confident against these guys?

Gavin Green:I’ve always wanted to come out here. I’ve always wanted to be on the PGA TOUR. It’s always been my goal since I was young. Playing along with Xander, and I played a couple of events with Justin. I definitely want to be out here with them. It’s fun. I love it out here. Hopefully something good happens next couple weeks.

Q:Last week compared to this week, the weather, the course, everything’s a big change. How do you adjust that quickly?

Gavin Green:I guess because I played a couple of times in Korea and traveled around Asia. So I can adapt I guess. Greens are a little different, and obviously the weather. Overall, I like it .I like playing different courses, I like the challenge. I enjoy the atmosphere of The PGA TOUR.

Q: you’ve played in Korea before. How do you expect the fans to be out here next week?

Gavin Green:I have no idea. It’s only my second time here. I think a lot will come out. We have here a lot of big players, a lot of big names. I’m just tagging along just trying to play my game and do the best I can.

Q:Second group out this morning, conditions must have been ideal for scoring?

Gavin Green: It was okay. It was a little cold to start. Iguess we beat the wind quite a bit. Which makes things a bit easier. The first time I had a good tee shot and left myself at really good approach shots and good numbers, where you can get up and downs from.I took advantage of that and kept cruising.

Q: The new putter, it behaved?

Gavin Green: It behaved today, thankfully. It definitely behaved. So far it’s working.

Q:You can play with a little less pressureonyourself this week. Last week in Malaysia you were the home favorite, you must put a lot on yourself?

Gavin Green:For sure it was tough last week. I can say it was very frustrating, I didn’t make many putts. Today I played real decent. I’m just trying to play my game. This week obviously a lot of pressure is off. I’m just trying to enjoy myself here.

Q:You’re leading the Asian Tour, Order of Merit as well. Macau going on at the moment, you’re going to keep an eye on that?

Gavin Green:Sure. They’re definitely going to try to push.Everybody wants to win the Order of Merit. In the next couple of months it’s going to be great.

Q:Was that an easy or tough decision to come here?

Gavin Green:It was easy to come here. Obviously I want to stick myself in Asiantour but I kind of miss this opportunity. It’s a good opportunity for me to come here and the next week in HSBC.

Q:It’s a good opportunity for you to gage yourself upon these tough guys?

Gavin Green:Sure, you can see what they’re good at and what you can learn andwhat you can improve on.
