Just a few words from Mr. “R”

Dear Thunderbirds,

We are finishing up the first semester with a very busy week. Semester exams continue through the end of the week so attending school every day and getting to class on time is very important. So as not to overwhelm the students, we are only testing two subject areas per day. Thinking that students are already spending a great deal of time either taking or preparing for their semester assessments, our after school Promise Time and ELP Program will take a break but will resume again in January. However, the Y before afterschool program remains open as usual.

A quick reminder for our Student of the Month recipients that their recognition ceremony is being held tomorrow morning starting at 9:00am in our media center.

For those students contacted in reference to the Talent Identification Program also known as TIPS, please note that the deadline to register is fast approaching. Please contact our Seventh grade house for more information.

Closing out the last week of school for the year we have our Band Concert at Dixie Hollins High School tomorrow night followed by our Winter Choral Concert here at Pinellas Park Middle Schoolon Wednesday. Please take advantage of the parking on our athletic field behind the portables. There is an entrance off from 70th Avenue.

Please note that there will NOT be a December PTSA/SAC meeting however Thursday after school we will hold our Winter Dance and on Friday, the PTSA is sponsoring a Skate Night at Astro-Skate.

Also for our 8th grade families please be reminded that the District Application Program Application Period opens on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 and closes on Friday, January 15, 2016. This would also apply to any new families wishing to join our Cambridge Program.
