JUNK MODELLING MATERIAL REQUEST

Classes 5B and 5/6W are planning on making a junk forest and need help with materials to make their trees. Do you have any suitable materials you could donate? If so please can you give them to Mrs Burn, Mrs Wilson or pass them to the school office.

HALF TERM EVENT – MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA

On Tuesday 21st February, 11:00am – 2:00pm at St Chads Church on Rawling Road they are hosting a Make Your Own Pizza event there will be activities for children and families, Musicians to entertain and the chance to make and eat your own wood-fired pizza.

WORLD BOOK DAY, THURSDAY 2ND MARCH – BOOK SALE

As part of our World Book Day celebrations we will be holding a book sale in school. To help us with this we would like to ask for donations of good quality used books. They can range from Nursery age up to Year 6. Any books you would like to donate should be given to the class teacher after half term.

HALF TERM EVENT – ST CHADS “ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR”

On Wednesday 22nd February, 1:00-3:00pm at The St Chads Community Project they are holding a Fair. Entry is £1 and includes a hotdog, there will be a Fancy dress competition and various stalls.

KNIT & KNATTER –AFTER SCHOOL YEAR 5 KNITTING CLUB

On Tuesday 28th February 3:15-4:15pm, Mrs Smith will be starting a knitting club for Year 5 pupils. Anyone who wishes to attend the club should complete a permission slip and return it to the school office. If anyone has any spare or unwanted wool or knitting needles that they could donate these would be greatly appreciated.

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS

From the 25th January you can receive Active Kids Vouchers for every £5 you spend in Sainsbury’s. Please donate your vouchers as we are collecting for our PE resources.

SCHOOL CAR PARK

Can we remind parents that the school car park is for the use of staff and school visitors ONLY. Please refrain from parking in, blocking the entrance to or using the car park to turn around.

TIGHTS, SOCKS, KNICKERS AND UNDERPANTS

Can you help? Our Early Years Classes are looking for donations of pre-owned or new tights, socks, knickers and underpants for ages 3 – 6. If you can help us with any of these items please can you give them to the school office.

SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHER

On Tuesday 7th March the photographer will be in school to take individual photos. If you want to have a family photograph taken please contact the school office and fill out a form, thank you.

EASTER FUND RAISING EVENT

We are very excited to announce our Easter Fundraising event JUST FOR GROWN UPS! Our pie & pea supper will be held at a local pub. Tickets will be on sale from March, it promises to be a great night….watch this space for more details.

COMMUNITY CHOIR

Kelvin Grove Needs you! Do you sing in the shower? Do you think your voice should be heard? Well we have the answer. Every Thursday 3.15 to 3.45 come along and give your vocal chords a workout with our Karaoke Community Choir – no talent required. Children are welcome to come along if they are accompanied by an adult.
