Dear Applicant
Junior School Teaching Assistant
Thank you for your interest in Oxford High School. I hope that the information included in this application pack will help you to decide to apply for the post.
Oxford High School is a fantastic community in which to work. The Senior and Junior Schools work closely together and are located near to each other in North Oxford. The school has a well-deserved reputation as a leader in education and is a dynamic environment where bright, lively students are engaged in a wide range of activities and experiences. Our students’ academic achievement is exceptional and by the time they leave us they are justifiably self-confident and ready to move into the wider world as extremely capable and interesting young women.
Our members of staff are highly valued and we recognise the need for continual professional development. We provide an environment where staff are encouraged to share ideas, be innovative and work together to improve all aspects of school life. Ultimately, they are committed to the well-being and development of the students and enjoy their role as part of the school community.
Oxford High School is a member of The Girls’ Day School Trust, which has 20,000 students and over 4,000 staff at its schools, educating more girls than any other independent sector organisation in the UK. The Trust, established in 1872, provides invaluable expertise and support for the school, and has recently invested in a large building programme at Oxford High School. This has provided us with exceptional facilities in the senior school, including the library, the school hall with its impressive theatre technology, a new cafeteria, drama studio and lecture theatre.
We hope that you will enjoy looking at our website to find out more about the school, should you have any questions not answered by the available documentation, please telephone the school on 01865 559 888, and speak to Mrs Kelly Antoniou, HR Officer.
