People Lab is a boutique employee engagement consultancy, and we’re looking for the right people to help us grow. We provide employee engagement services and consultancy to a range of clients, many of which are global brands.

This year we haven’t stopped and we’re looking for someone to join us as a junior employee engagement consultant. Based at offices in either Brighton or Hastings, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved with pretty much every aspect of the business. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude and potential to take this role on and make it their own. So you’ll need to be a self-starter, able to use your initiative and be pro-active.

Skills and experience

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of employee engagement
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong writing skills
  • Good understanding of social media
  • Evidence of being able to work as part of a team which is occasionally remotely based
  • Have ideas, be able to use your initiative and be pro-active
  • Some prior experience in dealing with customers or clients
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Evidence of using initiative and exceeding objectives set
  • Bags full of ambition!

Key areas of responsibility

As a small business, more often than not it’s all hands on deck – so you’ll get involved in all aspects of the business. This includes:

Consultancy

  • Account executive support on client projects such as:
  • Acting as day-to-day liaison on various aspects of a client project
  • Attending client meetings
  • Working on project delivery for clients
  • Capturing meeting minutes
  • Writing up case study content
  • Analyzing research findings (such as output from focus groups/ Survey Monkey questionnaires)
  • Project management

Business Development

  • Supporting the development of new business proposals
  • Following up with new business prospects where appropriate/ required
  • Run research programmes, using tools such as survey monkey, be able to analyse results and write reports
  • Updating our new business pipeline and contact database
  • Attending networking events and industry conferences where possible
  • Help plan, organize and manage events e.g. quarterly masterclasses, research launches etc.
  • Support in PR and marketing programme such as:
  • Support in drafting content for marketing purposes e.g. blogs, marketing mailers etc.
  • Managing social media feeds
  • Production of our monthly newsletter
  • Drafting award entries

Day-to-day administration

  • Sending out invoices and chasing payments
  • Manage jobs page on the People Lab website
