Junior Argonauts Girls Basketball is starting its 13th year of operation as a feeder program for the Argo High School Girls Basketball program. It is open to girls residing in Argo 217 School District who are currently in 3rd through 8th grade. We do not interfere with any grade school basketball. Our season starts in September and goes through August. We play as many as 50 games a season.
There are no cuts in Junior Argonaut basketball, and while skill levels may vary, everyone has an important role in the program. If you play for your school team (Wilkins, Heritage, Joe’s or Willow), we fit your schedule into our practice schedule. Practices run twice a week for 1.5 hours and they are held at various locations in the district, including Argo High School, Heritage School, Wilkins School, and Willow Springs School. The benefits of playing Junior Argonaut basketball include: gaining valuable game experience, meeting teammates from other district schools that will someday go to Argo H.S with you, and developing a love for the game.

Head Varsity Coach Dan McCarthy and his staff will be available for a meet and greet. Raffle prizes include 2 brand new basketballs.
Feel free to meet the coaches at these registration dates and we ask returning players to wear their practice gear so they can shoot around. Join and meet new teammates, have fun, learn the game, and become a player!!
