TheconferenceisusingtheEasyChairconferencesupportsystemandyouwillneedtoregisterwithEasyChair to submit yourpaper.

PleasenotethatwithALLtypesofsubmission,EasyChairwillaskforanabstractaswellasanuploadeddocument.

ORAL-ONLY PAPERS(ABSTRACTS)

Abstractsforpapersthatwillonlybepresentedorallywillbepeer-reviewed.Therewillbenoneedtosubmitafullpaperifyouchoosethisoption.Abstractsshouldbe250-500wordsinlength.

PANELPROPOSALS

The organisers strongly encourage panel proposals. These will be quality-assured by theconferenceorganisers.Apanelshouldcomprise3-4speakerswhoseresearchhasastrongthematicormethodologicallink or interaction. The proposal shouldinclude:

●Paneltitle

●An overall abstract (250-500 words) justifying the panel as awhole

●A separate abstract (250-500 words) for each proposedpresentation

●Brief biographies of each presenter (up to 100words).

FULLPAPERS

Fullpaperswillgothroughafurtherstepofdouble-blindpeerreviewandwillbeeligibleforinclusionintheConferenceProceedings.Papersshouldbeacademicallyrigorous(i.e.theoreticallyandmethodologically sound, thoroughly researched and referenced) but also accessible to anyone interested injournalism educationandresearchanditsimplications.TheConferenceProceedingswillbepubliclyaccessibleandprovideashowcaseoftherelevanceofjournalismresearchtoawideraudience,sopleasewriteclearly.UseplainEnglishand,ifyoumustusejargon,clearlyexplainitsmeaning.Wereservetherighttoedityourworkforstylebeforepublicationintheconferenceproceedings.Somefurtherdetailsinclude:

Format

YourpaperforrefereeingmustbeprovidedasaMicrosoftWordorapdfdocument.Providethetitleofthepaperandanabstractof250–500wordsonthefirstpage.Pleaseeliminateanyauthorialidentifyinginformationfromthesubmittedpaper,includingfromtitlepage,headersandfooters,anddocumentfilenames.

Thebodyofthepapershouldbedouble-spaced,andmaybeleft-alignedorjustified.Quotations shouldbein“doublequotationmarks”(not‘single’)andparagraphsofcitedtextlongerthan40words shouldbeindented.Suggestedwordcountis3000-5000words,includingreferencescited.
