5.  Monthly Draw

The May draw was made won by Helen Mullan

If you haven’t already joined the monthly draw please consider doing so – it brings in about £2000 into the school each year but it could be a lot more. Full details on the schools web site.

6.  Easyfundraising

Could I also encourage you to consider using easyfundraising – it costs nothing and brings in a percentage on goods that are bought on the internet. It is so easy you just enter in easyfundraising, set it as John Ogilvie High school and off you go. I’ve attached an easy guide. In the past few years we have raised a few hundred pounds this way – please consider using it.

7.  Headteachers Report

·  Next sessions intake will be 148 pupils – smaller than last year. 90-100 of which are girls

·  Trip to Alton Towers hopefully no problems this year with buses

·  Rotary Club will be picking up the tab for the public speaking competition but any shortfall will be met through PTA funds

·  11th June Elaine Rose public speaking night

·  Changes to support teachers for pupils – will now be a vertical scale rather than horizontal meaning same teacher will follow a pupil throughout their school life. Siblings will all have the same support teacher. Better from the children but a painful transition for the school but worthwhile for the benefits it will have.

·  Staff changes –Maths have lost head of department to Trinity High. Miss Smith acting PT. Mr McGeaver retires at summer with MrMcLauchlin going in December

Date of next Meeting: 27th August 2014
