Please select one of the following (the prices listed are if purchased through Varsity). Reebok high tops, Nike Sideline ($61.50), Asics Sakura ($75.50), Asics Classic ($58.00), Converse Kick Out ($52.50)

SHOE EXCEPTIONS: If you already own a cheer shoe please check with your coach to see if it is acceptable. We want all the girls to wear good shoes that will be comfortable for them as well as for stunting.

Additional Costs:

·  Dues: We will collect $15 (dues) from each girl to cover costs for hair accessories, banner paper, paint, homecoming supplies (candy), tissue paper and ribbons. Make checks payable to St. Mark.

·  Camp: $110.00 payable to Envy Cheer. Envy will work stunting, jumps, basic tumbling, dance, cheers, pyramids and safety.

·  Note: Camp will be 4 days.

Safety

Safety is always the first priority and will be maintained by all coaches. No stunts may be practiced/performed unless a coach has given permission AND is present. Floor mats will be used on gym floors. Safety in stunting is our first priority. We will consider each girls personal preference for positions in stunts but safety will always take precedence. A stunters position is based on safety, experience, size and athletic ability of the cheerleader. Please keep in mind that St. Mark’s Cheer is “recreational” not competitive.

Camp

Camp is for learning correct technique with stunts, basic tumbling and jumps. Girls will also learn two new dances, several cheers and chants. It is important that every effort is made for your daughter to attend camp.

Attendance

Attendance is always in the best interest of each girl to learn new material and improve existing skills. Coaches are sensitive to individual needs and family conflicts therefore practices are not mandatory. However, missed practices may result in a child not performing a particular dance, cheer, or stunt due to not knowing the material.

If unable to attend a practice or game please contact a coach prior to the event by phone or email!

Game Day

·  Cheerleaders must arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of the game

·  Cheerleaders should be in full uniform with hair neatly and securely pulled back in a ponytail.

·  No jewelry

·  Cheerleaders should stand at attention while on the field and be ready to cheer at the appropriate times.

·  Once the game begins cheerleaders should NOT leave the squad without permission (safety!).

·  Cheerleaders are NOT to interfere with the football players during the games.
