John Clauss’ Living Obituary

John Clauss is a young man that does his absolute best to live his life to very fullest. His motto is that "Happiness is perception; in fact everything in life is perception. We can be happy, sad, successful, and unsuccessful; it's all perception in life. Just make your choice."

When John was growing up he found his love for theatre. He started his acting career at a very young age, doing many plays with the community. John followed his dream into high school where he was the star role in almost all of the plays. Regardless of whether or not John was the lead role or just a fill in, he has always been optimistic and used his failures to make himself a better actor, and also friend, and family member.

On that note, John has always been an outstanding friend and family member. No matter what John has on his plate, he can always find time to lend a helping hand. His family simply adores John. He keeps close contact with his mom, dad, and all his brothers and sisters, which we all know can be quite hard during our college years.

For as long as I can remember John applied his perception motto towards almost everything that he has accomplished and failed. He does this because he always seems to be living in the present, not thinking about the past, or dwelling on the future. When talking to John he makes it very obvious that he is “present” and not thinking about anything else except the conversation at hand, which is a very special skill.

All of John’s traits make him the man that he is today. He is a man that everyone should look up to and strive to be. His motto that life is perception is a great way to think about life, and more people should live their lives according to this saying. I am proud to know John Clauss, and by knowing him it most definitely makes me a better man.
