JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–My profile

Job seekers use this page tocheck any new job leads or messages, view their instant job list and link to their Job Match Profile and Resumé Manager. JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide– Registration details

Job seekers use this page to manage their registration details. Data from this page will also be used to auto-propagate fields in other pages within the site, including Create a resume. Please refer to JobSearch online help (located in the top navigation bar on the website) for further assistance.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Login details

Job seekers manage their login details using this screen. The page set up is customised depending on the type of job seeker. For information regarding the different types of users, please see details below.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Delete account

Job seekers can permanently delete their account details including their resumes using this screen. Please refer to JobSearch online help (located in the top navigation bar on the website) for further assistance.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Retrieve password

Job seekers and employers can retrieve their login/password details using this screen. JPOs change passwords using this screen. You can navigate here through the Forgotten password? link on the Login page.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–My jobs

Job seekers use this page tocheck any new job leads or messages, to view their instant job list and to link to their job match profile. Please refer to JobSearch online help (located in the top navigation bar on the website) for further assistance.

JobSearch - Personal Page User Guide–Instant job list

Once logged in, job seekers can view an instant list of jobs generated using the details entered into the job match profile. The list displays the jobs currently on JobSearch that meet the occupations and locations listed in their job match profile.

If the list contains jobs that are unsuitable, it is advisable to revise the information in the job match profile. The list changes daily according to jobs available and job seekers are advised to log in regularly to check their instant job list results.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Resumes

Job seekers use the resumemanager to create, download and upload their resumes. Job seekers can upload up to five resumes which can be linked to their job match profile selected occupations. Matching keywords are also extracted from their resumes.The matching keywords describe the skills and experience of the job seeker and are matched to the job requirements listed in vacancies. Job seekers must have matching keywords to be matched to vacancies on JobSearch. Job seekers can extract matching keywords using the job match profile resumes section.Please refer to JobSearch online help (located in the top navigation bar on the website ) for further assistance.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Job match profile - Keywords

The job match profile contains the information used to match job seekers to jobs. The job seeker can create or update this information using the tabs across the top of the page;- resumes, keywords, occupations, locations and licences. The job seeker must have entered at least one occupation, location and resume to be part of the automatic daily job matching process.Employers looking for staff on JobSearch use this information to find and contact them about job opportunities.Please refer to JobSearch online help (located in the top navigation bar on the website) for further assistance.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide– Occupations

The Occupations screen is accessed through the Job match profile Occupations tab to add or edit selected occupations. Job seekers use Occupations to manage the occupations for which they are looking for work. JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide– Locations

Job seekers manage the locations in which they are looking for work on this screen. Job seekers may select as many locations as they wish. The Locations screen is accessed through the job match profile-Locations section to add or edit chosen occupations.

JobSearch - Personal Page User Guide–Licences

The licences screen can be accessed via Job match profile Licences tab. Job seekers can add or delete a licence. To maximise job matching opportunities all vehicle and equipment licences should be added.

TheOther tab lists five options that may assist job seekers find a job.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Job matching ON/OFF

Job matching is used to automatically match job seekers to suitable jobs. The job seeker can use this page to turn this form of job matching ON or OFF and to change the format of the email sent. If job matching is turned OFF they will not receive Daily job matches. The job seeker can choose to be notified about daily job matches via the personal page, email and, for FJNE and JSSO job seekers, via SMS.

The Create a resumestarting screen can be accessed from the job match profile page using the Create resume button. Job seekers are able to use this screen, and the six that follow it, to create an online resume to use when applying for listed jobs. JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Email resume

The Email resume screen can be accessed by job seekers using the email link on the resume page of the job match profile. Job seekers use this screen to apply for jobs online by emailing their resume and a short message to employers about why they would like to apply for the position. A resume must be selected before selecting the email button.

JobSearch–Personal Page User Guide–Messages and appointments

Job seekers can view and receive messages about appointments from their Job Network member or Centrelink, and messages from interested employers and Job Placement Organisations about job opportunities. Public job seekers will only see the heading titled as Messages,because they do not receive messages about appointments. Job seekers should regularly check to see if they have received any new appointments or messages.
