Job Purpose/summary

To provide fundraising and administrative support to the fundraising team at the Marie Curie Hospice, Cardiff & Vale.

Fundraising Group Development Managers,

Regional Fundraising Product Managers,

Accountabilities (Duties & Responsibilities)

Ensuring the delivery of local fundraising plans and activities:

Proactively responding to enquiries from the public, fundraising groups, volunteers, Community Fundraisers and other Marie Curie staff, including following up and resolving enquiries on the telephone, by mail and in person.

Participating in the delivery of annual budgets, targets and plans

Assisting the team in delivering National Campaigns at a local level ensuring activities are run effectively, are well planned, marketed and supported

Supporting local, regional and national fundraising activities and events

Ensuring that accurate and up to date financial and supporter records are maintained and accessible.

Assisting the team in developing supporters by carrying out Welcome and Development calls for National Campaigns.

Putting the supporter first:

Working with fundraising groups and supporters in ways that encourage and support people to fundraise for MCCC

Relationship building and supporter development for hospice as the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries from patients, families and hospice visitors

Ensuring that face to face enquires from patients, families and hospice visitors are dealt with sensitively.

Developing and managing key relationships inside MCCC:

Assisting with the preparation of any PR and media requirements.

Developing a strong relationship with the hospice team to ensure that out of hours donations are managed in accordance with the policy.

Proactively using and supporting fundraising colleagues in using the fundraising database to develop supporter relationships

Working with volunteers and colleagues:

Assisting with the recruitment, set-up and development of fundraising groups

Assisting in the supervision of the work of volunteers

Administration:

Working within national MCCC policies, procedures and adhering to legal frameworks

Receiving, recording and preparing paperwork for processing by the Supporter Relations Team in accordance with MCCC policies and procedures

Providing day to day administrative assistance in support of the fundraising product portfolio

Ensuring the preparation of income for secure collection

Providing administrative support, as required, to hospice Development Board.
