Responsibilities: The Customer Service Training Organization has an opening for a Trainer located in North Charleston or Cayce, SC.

This position is responsible for the design, development and delivery of learning materials to support SCANA’s commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead group activities, facilitate discussions using adult learning theories, present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures.

The qualified candidate will be able to deliver a variety of training as coursework objectives and material indicates, presenting materials effectively while evaluating student understanding with effective questioning techniques and providing timely and specific feedback.

This position will be responsible for effectively coordinating with appropriate business owners, other facilitators, and management to ensure all trainings are conducted on-time and delivered consistently across all markets. Other responsibilities include serving as a creative resource on learning/training content, processes and presentations on assigned training projects.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office
  • Knowledge of the SCANA’s Customer Information System is a plus
  • Ability to perform well within a team based environment
  • Ability to periodically support non-traditional work schedules (including nights and weekends)
  • Ability to fulfill a team member role in the emergency recovery process which may require occasional after hours/weekend work
  • Ability to travel regionally on short notice

Trainer Cust Svc I: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in business or related field and 2 years of experience; OR an Associate Degree and 4 - 6 years of experience in Business or related field; OR a High School diploma and 8 - 10 years of experience in Business or related field.

Trainer Cust Svc II: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in business or related field and 2 - 5 years of experience; OR an Associate Degree and 6+ years of experience in Business or related field; OR a High School diploma and 10+ years of experience in Business or related field.

Trainer Cust Svc III: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in business or related field and 5 - 7 years of experience; OR an Advanced Degree and 3+ years of experience in Business or related field.
