Overview
- The ESU has proudly been involved with the World Schools Debating Championships for over 20 years. During this time, Team Wales has become one of the most successful debating nations in the world.
- In the past few years, we have taken a number of steps to ensure that the opportunity to receive world class coaching and represent your nation is as accessible and impactful as possible. Part of these changes is the creation of a 10 person Development squad that will train until February 2018 at which point the final team of 5 will be selected.
- The Development Squad is an opportunity to give world class training to a larger group of debaters than simply picking the final team. You will relish this opportunity to provide coaching to talented debaters who may not have had access to much previously, and to further hone the skills of those who may have already competed at the highest possible level.
