Position Description/Expectations
Job Title: Star Center Support Staff – Upward Star Center/Volleyball Center
Department: Star Center
Status: Exempt/Part Time
New Position: March 2015
SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position requires a hardworking, focused person with a strong sense of attention to detail. This position reports to the Service Manager of the Star Center and is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks to include providing a spotless, clean environment for all Star Center/Volleyball Center guests, parking control and on occasion score keeping and gate attendants.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Treat all guests and team members with honor and respect with the heart of a servant.
2. Clean before, during and after tournaments/events.
3. Provide parking direction to guests.
4. Take out trash, clean spills, vacuum and dust mop floors.
5. Be willing to do whatever it takes to make Star Center programming the best.
6. Keep score for games on occasion.
7. Promote the mission of Upward Sports in all interactions.
8. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Service Manager.

b. As a leader of the Star Center, this person will lead others by example.

a. Will need to pay attention to detail.
b. Integrity is a must for this position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Previous experience in customer service, retail or food and beverage preferred.
· Positive attitude and passionate about serving others.
· A track record of reliability in the work environment.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Must be a team player.
· Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
a. Mostly standing position: Standing 95+ % of time.
b. Type of environment: Office/Sport Facility.
c. Ability to Lift up to 75lbs. if needed on occasion.
ACCOUNTABILITY
· Review of performance on an annual basis with weekly updates on progress of projects or other responsibilities.
· Timely and satisfactory execution and completion of principle responsibilities listed within this job description as well as other related duties as required and assigned.
· Performance against established goals for each of the following areas: program registration, customer retention, new business development, new program expansion, and sales pace.
· Upward Sports is a Christian ministry organization, and expect the individual holding this position to share its religious principles and beliefs in word and action.
