POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Senior Manager of Human Resources

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in developing and maintaining leading comprehensive Human Resources management systems, policies and services to meet the needs of the company, its employees, and the legal and regulatory compliance requirements. Lead or participate in certain corporate initiatives or special projects that are non-traditional to the general Human Resource Department function. Assist as needed with the duties of the Company's public relations officer. Serve as backup for all responsibilities of the Director of Human Resources in their absence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Establish and maintain systems to compensate employees competitively and in line with the goals of the Company. This includes market pricing for hourly, non-exempt and exempt positions through regression analysis of current local, state and national survey data. Assure Dwyer positions and required skill sets are appropriately represented in the selected positions from the surveys utilized.

2.Create new and improve existing programs to foster positive employee relations and resolve employee problems with early detection and intervention. Maintain an environment free of third party representation/intervention in all facilities.

3.Establish and maintain systems and procedures to meet legal and regulatory compliance requirements related to Human Resource matters (e.g. OSHA, ERISA, EEO, etc.).

4.Establish effective systems for effective communications to and from employees at all levels and locations in the Company.

5.Provide counsel to Sr. Management on issues with potential impact to employee relations or increased legal risk exposure as needed.

6.Establish, coordinate and/or facilitate programs for management leadership training and development. Collaborate with other Department Heads to assess general & specialized training needs for employees and provide appropriate recourses or develop solutions to address those needs.

7.Assist in developing, improving and maintaining general Human Resources management systems, policies and services to meet the needs of the Company and its employees. Perform related documentation and recordkeeping.

8.Assists in overseeing the staffing selection processes, from final documentation of the position specifications by the hiring manager, properly approved personnel requisition, review of internal candidate prospects as appropriate, sourcing prospective candidates from external sources, (such as networking, engaging search firms and Internet postings, etc.) to identify top talent candidates that meet the staffing needs the Company in a timely manner.

9.Assist in the development of a formal Talent Management process to include 9 Box assessment, written professional development plan for identified individuals, succession planning, communication and documentation protocols, training and orientation of the process and principles.

10.Assist the Company's Public Relations officer in related activities as needed.

11.Assist Director in due diligence processes related to mergers and acquisitions, facility startups, etc. as needed. Assist in establishing Standard protocols, check lists, guidelines for each M & A or startup scenario.

12.Participate in certain corporate initiatives that may not be traditional to the Human Resources Department’s general function.

13.Mange the Company Safety program, establishing a Zero Accident Culture® in all facilities. Assure compliance with all OSHA and EPA requirements ongoing. Reduce OSHA Lost Time and Recordable Incident rates ongoing.

14.Perform other related duties as required.

15.Provides timely and quality services and support to all internal and external customers. Independently seeks and identifies problems and constraints blocking progress toward these objectives. Consistently develops creative and effective solutions to those opportunities.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

BS Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or a Business related discipline required. Professional Certifications as SPHR or PHR, plus CCP, and CBP preferred. MBA or Masters Degree in Human Resource Management preferred plus 5 years experience as a Human Resources Manager in a multi-facility manufacturing company required – preferably at corporate level. Experience with strategic business planning for the HR Operationsand related functions required. Experience overseeing HR services to International locations is preferred. Strong positive labor relations history including union avoidance, and successful countering of union organizing drives preferred. Experience with the HR portion of the due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions, experience with plant closings, setting up the HR related aspects for a new facility, assisting with new facility site selection and assessment preferred.
