Role purpose
To support the Resourcing Business Partner in implementing the Resource Plan, adding value to the business and enhancing recruitment capability. Understanding and assisting with delivery of the resourcing requirements within Transformation projects and ensuring the business as usual recruitment is maintained and improved in line with the NMC vision.
Key accountabilities
- To liaise with key stakeholders providing advice on best practice in recruitment
- To guide and coach hiring managers through the process when required
- To ensure that authorisation to recruit is obtained in a timely manner and an audit trail is maintained
- To champion the use of social media and networks to enhance employer brand and candidate attraction methods liaising with relevant internal departments as required
- To organise and facilitate branding exercises, such as open days, job fairs etc.
- To assist with the development of the website and candidate online portals
- To liaise with our communications team to ensure the employer brand remains consistent and maximise every opportunity to enhance the NMC’s presence within the candidate market place
- To support the business delivering recruitment solutions utilising a range of techniques
- To ensure value for money advertising solutions and monitor responses effectively
- To undertake candidate search, both for specific recruitment campaigns and to create talent pipelines
- To manage candidate expectations throughout the recruitment and talent management process
- To oversee candidate screening to ensure the end to end recruitment process is achieved in a timely manner and time to hire is kept to the minimum
- To evaluate current recruitment practices and process and continually improve as required
- To produce regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis as required
- To promote equal opportunities and ensure that the NMC is not only compliant but actively promoting diversity within the workforce
- To assist with workforce planning exercises undertaking benchmarking and producing supporting data where required
- To assist with the design and delivery of assessment centres
- To assist with the design and delivery of recruitment workshops and training
- The role may involve travel to other locations within the UK

Qualifications and experience
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- SHL Level A desirable
- Job evaluation training desirable
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Demonstrable experience (min 2 years) within a recruitment environment
- A mix of agency and in-house recruitment experience would be an advantage
- Experience collating recruitment metrics and the ability to analyse data and implement improvements
- Sound understanding of current recruitment methodology and candidate management
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing
- Experience in implementing appropriate, job relevant assessment criteria with the ability to provide advice on a variety of methods and best practice
