JOB TITLE Operations Manager Employment & Skills

ACCOUNTABLE TO Employment & Skills Director

SALARY Grade - £37,109 - £39,615 with salary increase pending

JOB PURPOSE

.

1.  To provide strategic leadership and growth of Futures Training Services contracts throughout the East Midlands, Central Eastern and other strategic locations.

2.  To establish a delivery framework for Futures Training to be effective in maximising targets as defined through annual Business Planning process.

3.  To Support the Employment & Skills Director in establishing Futures Training as a leading deliverer of Apprenticeships, Traineeships and other associated learning programmes.

MAIN AREAS OF WORK

1.  To ensure that the Apprenticeship, Traineeship and Study Programme contracts, and associated delivery staff achieve all targets, whilst providing leadership and vision.

2.  To lead and support the growth of Apprenticeships, Traineeships and all other work related learning programmes, establishing Futures Training as a direct delivery organisation, and making recommendations on resource requirements

3.  To lead the Futures Training approach to Ofsted inspection developing a rigorous and robust SAR and QIP process across all lines of learning.

4.  To support the Employment & Skills Director in opening up new markets for additional training delivery and funding opportunities.

5.  To work with strategic partners, providers and other key stakeholders throughout the region to ensure that Futures Training responds to regional and national requirements including policy changes whilst ensuring contractual targets and key performance indicators are achieved.

6.  To have overall responsibility for the development of Futures Training into a successful regional and national provider of government funded work related learning delivery including the management of all associated contracts, whilst establishing and maintaining key strategic partnerships

7.  To lead the roll-out and embedding of company values to all Futures Training staff

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.  To develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with strategic partners throughout the region.

2.  To manage all Futures Training contracts ensuring that income is maximised and all key performance targets are achieved.

3.  To embed excellent Customer Care across all aspects of Futures Training service delivery.

4.  To advise the leadership team on potential growth, acquisition and merger opportunities for Futures Training.

5.  To ensure that Futures Training is prepared to take advantage of local regional and national policy changes that affect government funded learning delivery.

6.  To ensure that all operations are undertaken to the highest standards and meet both statutory and company requirements.

7.  To continually review, develop and improve systems, processes and services.

8.  To represent Futures at relevant strategic meetings locally, regionally and nationally.

MANAGING HUMAN RESOURCES

1.  To manage transactional HR processes for department including; forward planning, recruitment, induction and reorganisation.

2.  To develop team and individual team member’s performance through company performance management frameworks

3.  To perform line management function

4.  To create, maintain and enhance appropriate working relationships

a.  establish and maintain constructive relationships within the team and with other teams in Futures

b.  act on capability, disciplinary and grievance procedures as appropriate
